The most unique feature of this umbrella is its ability to mount to the hip belt and shoulder straps of nearly any backpack providing excellent protection from the rain and sun while allowing you to have your hands completely free so you can still use your trekking poles.
The telescoping shaft extends to over 43" and is adjustable by a simple twist and slide motion to allow a wide range of extension for varying conditions. The shoulder strap mounts attach quickly and easily with Velcro straps and can be rotated to allow a customized fit. The versatile design of the Swing Hands Free Umbrella allows it to be worn in either a vertical or cross chest configuration and on either the right or left sides of the body depending on the conditions. The umbrella handle easily mounts to most pack hip belts through a soft and flexible shock cord strap or you can carry the umbrella with the traditional EVA foam handle.
The frame is constructed of high-density fiberglass ribs coupled to the lightest possible fiberglass shaft making this umbrella highly flexible and nearly unbreakable. The frame is also nearly metal free and so is virtually corrosion-proof. The canopy is made of an extremely lightweight and tear resistant polyester fabric with Teflon coating for water proof performance. The silver metallic coating also provides a UV protection factor of 50+.
